Antique oriental camphor chest. Circa 1880 era
This a gorgeous hand carved chest. Painted in pink with a worn through rustic effect with other pinks and creams showing through, it has carvings that are highlighted with liquid golda rose gold.
Hand carved with deep carvings in the front and top, with shallower carvings on the sides and back.
Please look at the photos as the carvings are very hard to describe but they do speak for themselves!!!!
Inside I have lined with an electric pink Chinese silk brocade and twisted silk cord. its plush and cushioned (the cushioning will diminish slightly if used a lot)
This is a gorgeous piece and for anyone who likes purple a total delight and a centre piece for keeping and treasures in!
This chest measures 30cm long. 17 cm in depth and 16 cm high. please see the pictures for measurements
