This is an antique tea chest, spicy box circa 1880. In a sarcophagus shape upcycled into a jewellery box or for any trinkets. it has gorgeous carvings on the outside, painted in a purple burgundy with dark turquoise showing through, and gold highlighting the carvings. it has a removable lid with 3 separate sections. I have stencils the inside of the lid and the smaller lids as they only fit certain slots. The outside is finished in a satin. As this is an antique piece there is slight aging to the fitting of the lid which means there is a gap this is age related and cannot be changed although it is minor. This chest measures 25.5 cm long, 17cm high and 16 cm in depth.please note the measurements are approximate due to the shape of the box. Please feel free to ask me any questions.
