Antique Large carved jewellery box chest.solid wood.jewelry storage,jewellery box. This box is circa 1900.
With carved birds and flowers/leaves deeply carved.
This is a unique piece.I have never seen another one like this anywhere.and I've been collecting boxes for a long time!
painted in two tones one a kind of purple and the other mulberry/cranberry colour with empire gold paint highlighting the carvings.
When opened the lid lifts to reveal a small carving on the underside then two pull out trays and a pull up middle section.
This has the original lining.
fully working original lock and key.
Measures 30cm long/wide .20 cm depth and 11 cm high(carvings make it 12cm)
. Please note these dimensions are approximate due to the carvings and shape of the box
