Antique oriental camphor chest. Circa 1900 This a gorgeous hand carved chest.Painted in dark blue with metallic waxes and highlighted in gold. Hand carved with deep carvings all over of birds . Please look at the photos as the carvings are very hard to describe but they do speak for themselves!!!! There is a depth of colour to the carvings that catches in the light Inside I have lined it with plush bright red silk oriental brocade finished with black silk twist cord This would make a lovely gift for anyone's treasured items to be kept in!
